Saatchi Gallery

This weekend I decided to go visit one of the best art galleries I know here in London. Located next to Sloane Square's underground, Saatchi Gallery, right now runs over 14 exhibitions of artists from all over the world.
I was quite interested in seeing Davide Monteleone's photography work. It was pretty shocking to find Davide himself there, explaining his pictures to all these people. So great!

HYPE x 'The Simpsons' Collection Launch

As is becoming usual, I popped in Boxpark this Thursday again! HYPE was launching yet another super duper collection, this time in collaboration with 'The Simpsons'. Sounded sooo cool! So off I went. Obviously another great evening full of interesting and unique people where donuts, bags and beers were given away.
Homer and Bart Simpson were just around the corner and very happy to take pictures with all of us. So sweet guys, you made it rock again!

Victoria & Albert Museum

The Victoria & Albert Museum is always a great choice. No matter what exhibitions are running, it's always top five in my London's museum list. Best part, of course, is the fashion section. There's a huge wardrobe collection that goes from one decade to another. Enough for me to spend like so many wasted hours in there.
By the way, for those who haven't gone already, there's a great exhibit of famous fashion photographer Horst. Perfect plan for rainy days!

The Stylist's Rail

Market time! This plan very much reminded me of my fabulous internship back in Spain this year. If you haven't heard about it, just google The Flow Market Getxo and get prepared to see the best pics and fashion items and clothes.

Whilst in east London (as almost always), I found a very interesting event taking place this Saturday 11th of October at The Hoxton Hotel. Vintage treasures, new designers, free cocktails, live music... I couldn't resist my hands and ended up buying some very cool striped pants which I will for sure wear this week. The Stylist's Rail: a wardrobe sale you can't certainly miss. Follow them in facebook to find out about their next event dates. You won't regret it!

Stockober East End Thrift Store

During a whole week (11th to 19th of October) you will be able to update your vintage shopping. Sounds good huh? Just write this down as it is worth a close look. East End Thrift Store celebrates its first major event of the Autumn: STOCKOBER! Tired of your fur coats? Searching for a special fancy dress for this Christmas? Looking for new Levi's pants?

Well... what can I say? Just give it a go! Walked past there last Saturday and pretty surely I'll go back after buying a cute little blue jumper. Awesome vintage place!

Rock seen by Bob Gruen 1972-1982

I love photography, and I even like it more if it's in black&white. Making the most of my week, I decided to go see Bob Gruen's exibition in Londonewcastle Arts Proyect Space, in Shoreditch. Worldwide known for his rock 'n' roll photographs, Gruen captures famous rockstars from the 1970's to the 1980's. If you're thinking of taking a walk by Redchurch St  and are fond of pictures, please don't miss this! Bob will wait for you until the 27th of October. Sounds great!

HYPE x Asos 'Fats' food collection launch

Last Thursday (9th of October) my friends and I decided to hang out in Boxpark, Shoreditch. I love Boxpark. The great thing about this place is that there are always tons of things going on. Clothing brand HYPE, along with online retailer ASOS, was launching its new collection: 'FATS FOOD'. People gathered around the cute store in order to get a glimpse of this fabulous collection.
Red, white, blue... free beanies for the 75 first people, free beers... There wasn't a lot more to ask.

Although it was raining mad, we continued the afterparty at Queen of Hoxton and are already waiting for the next one. Don't miss em!

A walk in the East

The last two months have probably been the best of my life. I've had so much freedom that I'm still beaming with excitement just thinking I've still got almost 2 more months here. My favourite place, as you have already supposed, is east London. Shoreditch and Brick Lane are very very inspiring. I love what I see and who I see and am very keen on finding new cool spots out of the conventional guides.
Don't forget to visit nightlife club Cargo (Banksy graffiti here), Shoreditch Junk (terrific store full of strange different things), The Golden Bee and Shoreditch's food village.

Clerkenwell Vintage Fair

Sunglasses, coats, ties, dresses, jumpers, pants, watches... Looking for something special with a hidden story behind? This is the place!

We all know London is famous for its vintage fairs. There's a huge variety to pick from over the weekends. Whether you are in east/south/west or north London, you always know there's one to be around. So that's where I was the 14th of September, weeks after my arrival in the city. I chose Clerkenwell's Vintage Fair, mostly because I had never heard about it before. I had a great surprise. The vintage salon located at The Old Finsbury Town Hall was really terrific and the people were wonderful.
If you are a truly vintage clothes lover, don't miss their next week fair (19th October)! I won`t!
